Fold up a piece of paper like an accordion. You should have enough space between each fold to cut out a person.
Draw the shape that you want your dolls to be on one, and then just cut it out, cutting through every layer of the accordion. The most important thing is that you need their hands to be connected, so the doll you cut out must have both of her hands kind of hanging out of the paper.
This is harder than I thought to describe without a visual. Hopefully it makes sense….
There are lots of ways, but the easiest is to start with a long strip of paper and lay it on the ground/table running directly away from you (so you sit at one end of it). Take hold of that end and fold a short length (sufficient to make a square) such that it lands on top of the strip. Then flip the strip over so that the square is on the bottom. Repeat so that the whole length is concertinaed up forming a square with folds at either side. Then draw a basic human shape on the front making sure that the ends of the arms and legs touch the sides with the folds. Cut the shape out (leaving the edges where the arms and feet touch uncut).
As you unfold, you should have a strip of dolls.

Fold paper into even folds… draw a “doll” with arms outstreched to edges of paper. Cut out leaving hand section intact, do not cut out around hands. Unfold the paper to your dancing dolls holding hands. If you want longer paper, tape or glue pieces together. Remember you will have to cut through all sheets, so don’t make it too thick.
